BEST Chowder EVER!

So this is something that I whipped up on a cold night and loved SO MUCH, I thought I should let you guys have it! This chowder is very simple, takes about 30-45 mins and is AWESOME for a rainy day :)

INGREDIENTS

4 strips of bacon
1 TBS Tarragon or Italian seasoning
1 TBS flour or cornstarch
1 med onion chopped
Squirt of lemon
2 cloves garlic or 1 TBS garlic powder
1 1/2 cups water
2 TBS butter
2 peeled/diced potatoes
1/2 cup of creme fraiche sour cream
1/2 cup of half & half or whole milk
1 can of white crab milk

salt & pepper to taste
1 wax pepper (optional)

1. Saute bacon with tarragon until crispy. Add flour and stir.
2. Add onion and lemon, cook 5 mins.
3. Add garlic, cook a couple mins.
4. Add water, butter and potatoes.
5. Boil til potatoes are tender.
6. Add half & half, sour cream and crab.
7. Simmer on med-low (NO boil) for 10-15 mins.
8. Add salt and pepper until desired taste.

PS. If it's too thin of a soup and you want it thicker, mix 1 TBS of cornstarch and 1 TBS of COLD water in a cup....stir until mixed. Add to HOT soup and continue for a few minutes on the stove!
PPS. If you are cooking for a family of 4, DOUBLE this recipe!

ENJOY!
